Ka Ming Ng
Clinical Psychologist
Ka Ming Ng supports individuals in understanding their life experiences and developing new ways of navigating emotional challenges. He approaches therapy with the belief that while our past shapes our habits and responses, it does not define the direction of our future. Drawing from both clinical training and cross-cultural perspectives, Ka Ming works with clients to understand the story of their lives so far and to move toward greater clarity, balance, and personal agency.
Therapeutic Approach
Ka Ming’s approach is grounded in evidence-based practice. He employs therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Mindfulness-based approaches, Schema Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. His perspective is also influenced by the ancient Chinese classic Liao Fan’s Four Lessons (了凡四训) , which emphasises the role of self-awareness and intentional action in shaping one’s life path. This philosophy reinforces his belief that individuals are not bound by their past patterns and can create meaningful change through effort.
Professional Experience
Ka Ming has experience working across both private practice and public healthcare settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of psychological challenges. He works with individuals aged 17 and above, helping clients navigate mood and anxiety difficulties, trauma-related experiences, life transitions, identity development, workplace stress, and addictive behaviour
