Welcome to Harmonia. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, services, and psychotherapy or counselling sessions provided by our practitioners.

By accessing this website or booking services with us, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of Services

Harmonia provides psychotherapy, counselling, wellness coaching, and related mental health services.

Our services may include:

  • Individual psychotherapy

  • Couples or relationship therapy

  • Group therapy or workshops

  • Mindfulness and meditation training

  • Online therapy sessions

  • Educational programs and wellness services

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process intended to support emotional wellbeing, personal insight, and psychological growth.

While many clients benefit significantly from psychotherapy, no specific outcomes or guarantees can be made regarding therapeutic results.

2. Professional Scope of Practice

Our practitioners operate within the ethical guidelines of their respective professional training and credentials.

Psychotherapy services provided by our centre:

  • Are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment

  • Do not replace diagnosis or treatment by a licensed medical practitioner

  • Should not be relied upon during mental health emergencies

If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, please contact emergency services or a medical professional immediately.

3. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate personal and health information

  • Participating actively in the therapeutic process

  • Informing the therapist of any changes in mental or physical health

  • Seeking appropriate medical or psychiatric care when necessary

Therapy may involve discussing emotionally challenging topics which may temporarily increase emotional discomfort.

4. Appointment Booking and Scheduling

Appointments may be booked through:

  • Our website

  • Email communication

  • Telephone

  • Online booking platforms

Appointments are confirmed once scheduled by the clinic or upon receipt of payment where applicable.

Session durations typically range between 60 and 90 minutes, unless specified otherwise, e.g. ASCT.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise.

To respect the time of our practitioners and other clients:

  • A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur the full session fee.

  • Missed appointments (“no-shows”) are non-refundable.

Late arrivals will result in a shortened session, and the full fee will still apply.

6. Fees and Payment

Fees for services are displayed on our website or communicated during booking.

Payment methods:

  • Bank transfer

  • FPS

  • Alipay

  • Pay Me

  • Credit or debit card

  • Other digital payment platforms

  • Payment prior to session

  • Prepaid therapy packages where applicable

Unless otherwise stated, therapy fees are non-refundable once services have been delivered.

7. Confidentiality

Protecting client confidentiality is a core principle of our psychotherapy practice.

Information shared during therapy sessions will be treated as confidential except under the following circumstances:

  • Risk of serious harm to the client or another person

  • Suspected abuse or neglect where disclosure may be required

  • Court orders or legal obligations

  • Professional supervision or consultation (where identifying information is minimized)

Client records are stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.

8. Personal Data and Privacy

Harmonia complies with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

Personal information may be collected for the following purposes:

  • Appointment scheduling

  • Client communication

  • Clinical record keeping

  • Billing and payment processing

  • Compliance with legal obligations

Clients have the right to:

  • Access their personal data

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Inquire about how their data is used

Requests regarding personal data should be directed to the clinic using the contact information provided on our website.

9. Online Therapy and Digital Communication

Where therapy sessions are conducted online:

Clients acknowledge that:

  • Internet-based communication may carry privacy or technical risks

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring a private and secure environment during sessions

  • The clinic cannot guarantee uninterrupted technology performance

Clients must provide an emergency contact and location information when engaging in online therapy.

Website content does not constitute:

Clients remain responsible for their own personal decisions and actions.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

Harmonia reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
