Majely Carla Parker-Hughes

Majely Carla Parker-Hughes

Clinical Psychologist

Majely Carla Parker-Hughes is a Clinical Psychologist who works with individuals navigating complex emotional challenges alongside demanding personal and professional responsibilities. Her practice focuses on supporting adults managing high-pressure roles, life transitions, anxiety, stress, and relational difficulties, as well as those seeking deeper understanding of long-standing emotional patterns. Through thoughtful exploration and structured therapeutic work, she supports clients in gaining insight into recurring patterns and developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Majely approaches therapy as a collaborative and reflective process aimed not only at symptom relief, but at fostering sustainable and meaningful change.

Therapeutic Approach

Majely’s therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based. She draws from cognitive-behavioural, attachment-based, and dialectical behaviour frameworks, adapting these approaches to the individual needs and experiences of each client. A central part of her work involves psychological formulation by helping clients understand how past experiences, emotional responses, and relational patterns interact in the present. Through this process, individuals can develop deeper self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and cultivate more adaptive ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Professional Experience

Majely has experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma-related experiences, relational difficulties, and major life transitions. She also works with individuals managing demanding professional roles, where emotional pressures and responsibilities often intersect.

In addition to adult therapy, she brings extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions and emotional regulation challenges. This background provides her with a broad understanding of attention, executive functioning, identity development, and family dynamics across the lifespan.

Having trained and worked across different cultural contexts, Majely supports clients from diverse and international backgrounds, including expatriates navigating relocation and cross-cultural transitions.
